Longenecker & Associates (L&A) seeks a motivated Construction Engineer I, II, and III to contribute to our mission supporting our work at Los Alamos National Lab in Los Alamos, NM.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Performs routine construction engineering assignments at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL). Requires a full working knowledge of construction engineering practices and the exercise of professional judgment within the framework of established guidelines. May have leadership responsibility for less experienced construction engineers. May be specializing in a single field or area, or assuming a lead role in a specific segment of a construction project.
Project is currently past the design phase. They are now in the installation phase and need Construction and/or Field Engineers to help support the project. Backgrounds in Glovebox, Electrical, Construction, and/or Manufacturing is ideal. Candidates must be willing to work swing shifts. 6 week rotation for weekends/nights.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Construction Engineer I – BS and 2+ years of experience or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
- Construction Engineer II – BS and 5+ years of experience or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
- Construction Engineer III – BS and 8+ years of experience or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a Construction setting. Microsoft 365 knowledge.
- Ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance.
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
- Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening in accordance with Federal requirements (details below),
- Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Active DOE Q clearance.
- Field Engineering Certifications.
- Electrical background and/or glovebox system experience.
- NQA-1 Experience.
LOCATION
- The work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM.
- PIE – INST2
- Supporting 24/7 operations. Shift work. 4/10 schedules.
- OT is possible.
- Per-Diem eligible.
