POSITION DESCRIPTION

The main duties include, but are not limited to:

·         Review source data including engineering documents Work with Volume III Lead to develop estimating plan and handbook,

·         Identify scope of work areas that require subcontract support or specially engineered equipment,

·         Work with Supply Chain to write specifications and obtain pricing,

·         Identify scope of work areas that require subject matter expertise, and work with Proposal Manager to identify appropriate SMEs,

·         Select appropriate estimate methodologies,

·         Oversee development of detailed estimates,

·         Participate in review process and ensure comments and feedback are implemented.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

·         Bachelor's degree,

·         Candidates not meeting the education requirements may be considered based on additional relevant experience,

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

·         Twenty-five years of experience in engineering, construction, operations, estimating, scheduling, project controls, proposal development, and/or project management,

·         Experience developing multi-billion-dollar cost estimates,

·         Specific experience leading cost estimates for heavy industrial (e.g., chemical processing, oil and gas) and/or nuclear facilities,

·         Critical soft skills or traits,

·         Ability to work in a diverse work environment,

·         Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening in accordance with Federal requirements (details below),

·         Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

·         Previous experience on DOE sites and programs,
