POSITION DESCRIPTION
The main duties include, but are not limited to:- Perform technical review of design submittals, performing back checks as identified by H2C,
- Perform reviews of 60% design documents to verify compliance with identified QA requirements,
- Perform surveillances of the A&E subcontractor to verify compliance with subcontractors QA program,
- Provide project recommendations based on reviews performed,
- Potential need for travel to the design subcontractor’s site.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Science or related field.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- 10+ years of experience with Software Quality Assurance or equivalent combination of education and/or experience,
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment,
- Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening,
- Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Previous experience on DOE sites and programs,
- Qualified QA Engineer,
- Certified NQA-1 Lead Assessor/Auditor,
- Experience with DOE 414.1D,
- Possess strong risk-based decision-making skills,
- Effective written, listening, and oral communication skills,
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications,
- Knowledge to interpret design documents (e.g., specifications),
- Experience working at the Hanford Tank Farms, in a similar Department of Energy (DOE) environment, or a nuclear facility,
- Familiar with IBM Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).
