Longenecker & Associates (L&A) seeks a motivated Procurement Quality Assurance Engineer to contribute to our mission supporting our work with H2C in Richland, Washington.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The main duties include, but are not limited to:
 
  • Perform technical review of design submittals, performing back checks as identified by H2C,
  • Perform reviews of 60% design documents to verify compliance with identified QA requirements,
  • Perform surveillances of the A&E subcontractor to verify compliance with subcontractors QA program,
  • Provide project recommendations based on reviews performed,
  • Potential need for travel to the design subcontractor’s site.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Engineering, Science or related field.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of experience with Software Quality Assurance or equivalent combination of education and/or experience,
  • Ability to work in a diverse work environment,
  • Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening,
  • Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Previous experience on DOE sites and programs,
  • Qualified QA Engineer,
  • Certified NQA-1 Lead Assessor/Auditor,
  • Experience with DOE 414.1D,
  • Possess strong risk-based decision-making skills,
  • Effective written, listening, and oral communication skills,
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications,
  • Knowledge to interpret design documents (e.g., specifications),
  • Experience working at the Hanford Tank Farms, in a similar Department of Energy (DOE) environment, or a nuclear facility,
  • Familiar with IBM Dynamic Object Oriented Requirements System (DOORS).
