Longenecker & Associates (L&A) seeks a motivated Mechanical Technologist to contribute to our mission supporting our work at a premier national laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The main duties include, but are not limited to:- Perform mechanical fabrication (i.e., welding, cutting, machining),
- Operate heavy equipment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS- High school diploma
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Active Q Clearance required,
- 5 years of experience in welding (e.g., arc, mig),
- Experience with operating heavy equipment (e.g., forklift, skid steer)
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment,
- Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Previous experience on DOE sites and programs,
- Associates degree in welding or certificate.
