Longenecker & Associates (L&A) is seeking an RCRA Lead. This position will lead the Environmental Management System and Sustainability programs for UCOR in Oak Ridge, TN.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities- Lead RCRA permit actions that includes: permit applications, permit modifications, and permit required reporting (i.e., RCRA annual report).
- Provide environmental compliance support to projects.
- Ensure implementation of waste regulations throughout the projects.
- Provide regulatory guidance in support of waste characterization and waste disposition.
- Prepare for and escort TDEC and EPA during RCRA inspections of operations.
- Provide oversight support to the projects in accordance with DOE Order 435.1.
- Provide support for the solid waste generator program in accordance with solid waste regulations.
- Provide support for waste characterization and disposition.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of waste management and inspection records.
- Review shipping documents in support of RCRA and polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) annual reporting and inspections.
- Conduct walkdowns of project areas for hazardous and universal waste compliance
Minimum Requirements- BS in Related Field (Engineering, Environmental Science) from an accredited school or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience required.
- Experience with DOE preferred
- Able to complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training
- Highly-effective written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Self-motivated, requiring limited direction
- Experience with waste characterization, storage, packaging
- Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary team
- Experience in working with State and Federal regulators
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment
- Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.
