POSITION DESCRIPTION
Support will be required to achieve a significant increase in the size of the workforce over the next few years. The increased demands for recruiting and hiring will add to the administrative burdens placed on production, operations, and support managers. The scope of work is therefore to help LANL line management in the recruiting, vetting, and hiring processes. The focus of the support will primarily be on helping line management in production, maintenance and facility operations to recruit staff. The scope may include providing assistance to managers in other divisions that provide support services.
The scope of work involves establishing a recruiting support team that will participate with other LANL institutional and directorate recruiting functions. The recruiting team will attend career fairs at universities and technical colleges as well as participate in industry conferences to attract and vet potential candidates. The recruiting team members will help identify prospective candidates, including participating in the interview processes. The scope also includes helping with the administrative processes of posting the job ads and working with line management to help facilitate the process of making offers. The Triad Managers will retain overall responsibility and accountability to approve the offer and approve in ORACLE. The goal is to provide assistance to line management. Close collaboration with LANL Human Resources and LANL Recruiting will be required.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- BS/BA degree in Engineering, Science or Business Management. Seven (7 years) of directly applicable experience in specialized technical field and is acknowledged as an expert in the specific area in question.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior LANL Experience with an emphasis on TA-55/PF-4 Operational Experience.
- Familiarity with TA-55 workforce needs.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance.
- Ability to work in a diverse work environment.
- Satisfactory results of a pre-employment screening, which includes a background check and drug screening in accordance with Federal requirements (details below),
- Ability to fulfill and promote L&A core values.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior LANL Recruiting or Hiring Experience.
